Discovery

Matrix CSD

The Matrix CSD focuses on stakeholder engagement and risk management, aiming to validate whether the concept of a mobile-learning solution aligns with initial business goals and solution requirements. This ensures that the product meets expectations while mitigating potential risks.

Enterviews

Through non-structured interviews with eight (8) participants, including stakeholders, HR managers, and potential users, insights were gathered to guide the product's development. The feedback provided clarity on user needs and expectations, shaping the direction of the solution.

Desk Research

Combining microinteractions with gamification boosts engagement by 52% and retention by 27%. By 2020, the mobile learning market was projected to surpass $35 billion, highlighting its rapid growth

The certainties were to user microlearning as a strategy and a whitelabel solution. It includes an administrative area for HR, is available on iOS and Android, and operates within a defined budget of $80K and a timeline of 3 months.

The assumptions were have Offline access will act as a differentiator, personalized learning paths will boost engagement, and gamification enhances learning. Mobile-first learning is key for busy professionals, and microlearning supports upskilling.

The Doubts remain about integration with other products, replacing the Studion app, whether it will be sold as SaaS, and if users can create their own content.

Usability Tests

I conducted a usability test using an XD prototype with five participants: two from an alpha tester client and three internal company users. Due to a limited pool of participants, I ran the test with the minimum viable sample for validation. The test was task-based, evaluating success rates and expected completion times. The results were positive, with two tasks achieving a 100% success rate, while the second task achieved 90%.

User Stories

I've used user stories as a complement to the specifications, along with a prototype link, to detail specific interactions from the user's perspective.

Customized for iOS and Android

Components were designed in a hybrid way to ensure a UX acceptable for both iOS and Android, maintaining consistency and usability. As a multi-instance white-label app, it offers flexibility for customization

UI Styles and Interactions

I created a simple UI style guide featuring the key components, including input behaviors, card styles, feedback alerts, typography, and color palettes.

Strong base of gamification

Gamification systems are designed by specialists who create points, levels, and badges based on user behaviors and goals, with the underlying math for scoring and ranking users. HR often uses reward systems to recognize outstanding employees.

User Needs

The focus is on short content, rapid learning, extending microlearning assets, personalized learning experiences, offline access, cross-platform compatibility, and curated content.

Administrative envoirement

The administrative environment for HR includes a space to add pathways, content, moderate comments, manage system users, generate reports, and configure the visual settings of the instances created for the environment.

New product for the portfolio! Nowadays, the app serves as an extension of the LMS (the main product), seamlessly integrated to support the primary strategy and facilitate upsell opportunities.

Position Market! At an industry event, Pronto was the product with the most proposals and interest. Contributing 5% of the total revenue (considering just products), although still modest.

Post-release, the app had 500 users, including company employees and 20% from a key client for real-world testing. In the first 28 days, there were 279 accesses, with an average session time of 23 minutes. Over 70% of employees consumed 80% of the content, and 15-25% of users liked or saved learning paths. The retention rate averaged 30%, as tracked by Firebase
